TOTAL ORGANIC CARBON (TOC)

Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Analysis: TOC analysis is a technique used to measure the amount of organic material present in rock samples obtained during drilling. It helps mud loggers assess the potential source rock quality and estimate the hydrocarbon generation potential of a reservoir. By analyzing TOC data, geologists can infer the type and maturity of organic matter, aiding in the identification of potential hydrocarbon-bearing formations.

 

 

MUDLOG & PRESSURE LOG

 

A Mud Log is a recording vs. depth of the parameters being monitored.
